At Fur’st Love our passion is more than just animals. We created this business with our friends and family in mind. We at Fur’st Love find that family, friendship and faith are incredibly important to improving one’s quality of life. We believe that this philosophy applies to our pets as well.
Family
The team that we have built here at Fur’st Love is dedicated to treating each day as a blessing. We hope that this Dogma (pun intended) shows in your pet as we work together every day in order to provide each animal with the best Spa experience possible.
Faith
We are whole-heartedly a faith based business and we aim to fully honor our Lord Jesus, as he is our actual First Love. Our hope is that Fur’st Love can be a ministry to reach our community for Him. To achieve this endeavor, a portion of all of our proceeds will go back into our community to serve others.
Aimee - Owner and Lead Groomer
In the summer of 2000 Aimee found her passion for working with animals when she took a job at a small, locally owned pet shop in Carlsbad, California. She enjoyed grooming so much that she enrolled in the California School of Dog Grooming where she was mentored by instructors and leaders of this industry that are second to none.
She graduated at the top of her class and moved back home to Virginia where she began working as a groomer at the Timberlake Veterinary Hospital in 2003. Aimee believes that her time at Timberlake served as a great foundation for her continued success in this industry as it gave her a chance to foster relationships with some of the best in this business.
As time passed, Aimee and her husband were blessed with two sons, Camden and Matox, and her career needs changed. In 2007 she took a leap of faith and began her own home-based pet grooming business. It was tough, but it gave her the flexibility that she needed to be able to stay home and raise her young children. She built her faithful clientele from the ground up, and almost a decade later was able to open the doors to Fur’st Love Pet Spa.
